A desert location in Nevada is rumored for Survivor 9.

Survivor 9 May Take Place In The U.S.

Filming of Survivor 9 may take place in a rugged, remote desert location near Nevada's Red Rock Canyon, according to a rumor sent to Futurizmo Survivor, by an anonymous source.

Survivor Executive Producer Mark Burnett, is currently in production of a new reality tv series for FOX called "The Casino," which is being filmed in Las Vegas, and will premiere this Summer.

Survivor 9, which Mark Burnett is rumored to be planning to film later this year either during the production of Burnett's "Casino", or shortly after, will possibly feature a wild west theme, and could premiere Fall 2004.

Last year, several newspapers reported that Survivor location scouts were considering using areas near Red Rock Canyon, to film an upcoming Survivor season, but no further details were given. Futurizmo Survivor will continue to follow this story as it develops.

Caution: The above rumor is unconfirmed, and should not be taken as fact until proven as such.
