The "Matrix" follows the story of a hacker named Neo, who learns that his reality is actually a computer simulation created by a powerful advanced Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) known as the "Matrix", who has enslaved the human race, and has taken control of Earth for centuries. Once freed from the Matrix, Neo meets Morpheus the leader of the rebellion, who informs Neo that he is a messianic figure known as "The One", and that it is his destiny to save and free the human race. Neo also meets Trinity, who is also a former hacker, turned freedom fighter.
In "Reloaded" Neo, Trinity and Morpheus continue to wage war against the A.I., and attempt to free those enslaved by the Matrix. The machines have discovered the location of Zion, the last human city, hidden near the Earth's core, and they plan to bore down through the Earth to the city, and use thousands of sentinels ( squid like machines ) to destroy it.
Neo, Trinity and Morpheus seek to find the Keymaker, who holds access to all the doors into and out of the Matrix. But he’s being guarded by a pair of new villains known as the Twins, who wield switchblades and have the abillity to vanish and reappear like ghost.
As they are joined by new allies, there are also those who cast doubt that Neo could truly be "The One" to destroy the A.I. and free the human race. Meanwhile, the evil Agent Smith resurfaces as a far more powerful threat, then ever before.
"Revolutions" the third and final chapter of the Matrix series, will take place prominently outside of the Matrix, in the ruins of the real world. And will be an all-out war of epic scale, between humans and machines.
